Statistics support the increasing need for viable, affordable and available housing opportunities that meet the needs of the individual as a whole person.  To that end, we are striving to communicate this message to local and state political figures, organizations working with this population, communities and investors.  The availability of quality housing that meets the social, educational and vocational needs of ASD/DD individuals is severely lacking.  This deficit in services leaves a large percentage of adults marginalized and prevented from being full and productive members of society.  Coordination of services through public and private means will give a stronger voice to individuals and their families who are in need of housing.  It is financially and morally prudent to provide quality and innovative housing initiatives such as Indie Living.
